Test Build - July 2022


It's finally here! The newest and first test build of Super Dice Dogs Battle Arena! Well, it's exciting for me anyway. With this build comes some new features, some changed, and a fix. But it also comes with some new bugs and mistakes and funky quirks of its own. 

This first test build is WebGL only. I wanted to make it easy for people to play right away. Future builds will also have a ZIP download for those who want it, and also because WebGL won't be the final platform when the game is finished. I've listed the changes down below but if you do find any new bugs or have features or suggestions to share, don't hesitate to leave a comment or fill out this feedback form.

+ New: Test Build playable only in browser

+ New: Archers and Mages now spawn for Blue Team

+ New: Pressing F1 will bring up a controls menu

+ New: Icons will now show a tooltip highlighting pertinent information

+ New: Number of available Dice Dogs now displayed with each class icon, as well as total available Dice Dogs

+ New: Dice Dogs now leave a gravestone on the battlefield when and where they die

+ Changed: Dice Dogs can now be placed only in the highlighted placement area

+ Changed: Greatly improved camera controls

+ Changed: New textures, arena model, and skybox

+ Changed: Names now display as a list on the left side of the screen at the start of battle with an icon corresponding to class

+ Fixed: Volume settings now work in pause menu

- Mistake: Dice Dogs name list covers up F1 text

- Bug: Mage Icon doesn't always show up, but can be dragged onto the battlefield

- Bug: Pausing and unpausing during the preparation stage caused placed Dice Dogs to move around before they're supposed to.

- WebGL Only: Pressing F1 in Chrome will open up a Help screen in a new tab. To negate this, hold down CTRL while pressing F1
